• CAFF Program

The Care-for-family (CAFF Garden) project initiated by the Peking University jointly created a series of thematic communication activities, public services, and lectures focusing on the patients of minor children in collaboration with the national CAFF project pilot units. Together with the program team, we focus on the families and children with mental disorders and work to improve the functioning of the patients' families and promote the healthy physical and mental development in children and adolescents. From 2019 to 2021, SMPC supported the CAFF Garden Program, providing considerable assistance to the families and children with mental disorders and contributing to a favorable social atmosphere to promote the mental health development of children and adolescents from special needs families. Until now, the CAFF Garden Program has organized more than ten offline activities with the participation of more than 180 pediatric patients. The program team completed development of the CAFF Service Management System and performed a detailed investigation into the birth and rearing of children with mental disorders based on the service management system, reaching out more than 69,000 patient families.

From 2022 to 2023, SMPC and CAFF cooperated again to further promote the development of the project. The aim of this promotion is to help more children from mental illness patients’ families to build a normal psychological mechanism to promote physical and mental health.
