In 2021, Sumitomo Pharma (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. successfully held the Shine in the East: China-Japan Academic Exchange Event to bring the frontier overseas medical experience to China with its academic resources, building a high-level scientific exchange platform for the Chinese and Japanese medical communities. 54 experts and professors gathered together, and more than 7,200 professionals participated in the discussion to provide innovative ideas for the clinical treatment in the field of mental health, improve the life quality of patients, and promote public health.

The Sumitomo Anxiety Forum has been held for eight sessions since 2014, inviting nearly 100 renowned experts in the field of psychiatry and neurology to discuss new challenges, new needs, and new methods in the areas of anxiety, focusing on research progress in the field of anxiety, development trends in the treatment of anxiety disorders, and clinical treatment experiences of anxiety disorders and other topics. Nearly 10,000 people participated in the forum in 2021 through the online platform, contributing to the development of diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders and research in China.
